How fit do you need to be?

While this tour is primarily road-based, some wildlife sightings may require short walks over varied terrain to reach a better viewing location. Artist Point is a 0.2-mile walk with an elevation change of 50 feet, and Mammoth Hot Springs will entail walking on paved walkways/boardwalks of no more than 1 mile round trip. To fully enjoy the tour, guests should be comfortable walking 1-2 miles total over the course of the tour on dirt trails and potentially uneven terrain with possible elevation gains of 100 feet.

Aleksa's passion and knowledge were our highlights of this trip

Our first tour was with Aleksa to the canyons and waterfalls. Despite the animal life being quiet in Summer, she managed to find two wolfs, moose, and a grizzly. We had ample time to observe them with her scopes, and she even sent us footage she recorded. She is so knowledgeable not just about the park but shared so much detail about the wildlife and her honest take on how the park is taken care of. Her passion and knowledge were our highlights of this first 7 hour trip - and the hot beverages and lunch were great too.

Our Naturalist Guide, gave us an excellent and informative tour experience, taking us to beautiful viewing spots of moose, bears, bison, pronghorn, swans and other flora and fauna! His explanations of the natural wonders, both the science and the history, added so much to our Yellowstone tour. Well worth it and we definitely recommend booking with Yellowstone Wild!

We all appreciated the depth of knowledge our guide offered, their own brands of humor to keep us laughing and engaged, and the stewardship they show and advocate for in Yellowstone.
